The bath is full. The water is warm. The bubbles are big and white and wobbly.
In you go, little one. Splish!
Splish, splash, who’s in the bath?
Here comes someone small and yellow, paddling round and round.
It’s Duck!
“Quack, quack, quack!” says Duck. Quack, quack, clap!
Can you clap like Duck? Clap, clap, clap!
Splish, splash, who’s in the bath?
Here comes someone big and blue, peeping up from under the bubbles.
It’s Whale!
Whale takes a big, deep breath and blows. Whoosh! Bubbles everywhere!
Can you blow like Whale? Whoooosh!
Pop, pop, pop go the bubbles.
Splish, splash, who’s in the bath?
Here comes someone with a little red sail, bobbing on the waves.
It’s Boat!
Bob, bob, bob goes Boat.
Can you sway like Boat? Sway this way. Sway that way. Bob, bob, bob.
Splish, splash, who’s in the bath?
Here comes someone green and jumpy, with long, kicky legs.
It’s Frog!
“Ribbit, ribbit!” says Frog. Kick, kick, splash!
Can you kick like Frog? Kick, kick, kick!
Splish, splash, who’s in the bath?
Duck and Whale and Boat and Frog. And you! All together now.
Quack and clap! Whoosh and blow! Bob and sway! Kick, kick…
SPLASH!
Now the bubbles are getting smaller. Pop. Pop… pop.
The little waves are getting slower. Ripple, ripple. Still.
Here comes a towel, big and warm and soft.
Wrap up Duck. Wrap up Whale. Wrap up Boat and Frog.
And wrap up you, snug as can be.
Pat, pat, pat. Dry little toes. Dry little nose.
Now your pyjamas, soft and cosy. One arm, two arms. One leg, two legs.
Splish… splash… who’s sleepy after the bath?
Duck is sleepy. Whale is sleepy. Boat and Frog are sleepy too.
And so are you.
Night night, little one.
